A number of resources are available in Chickasha for employee development, many of which come at little to no cost to the participant or employer. Through apprenticeships and customized training programs, you can find motivated new employees to bridge the skilled labor force gap, or upskill your current employees.

CV Tech – Business & Industry Services

Since 1970, Canadian Valley’s Business and Industry Services (BIS) team has helped Canadian, Grady, and a part of Oklahoma County businesses increase productivity, growth and profits, by providing effective, cost-cutting services and training solutions.

In addition to full-time courses, CV Tech offers a wide selection of courses and certifications, and can work with your business to develop a program tailored to your needs.

Oklahoma Works

The Oklahoma Workforce Board (Oklahoma Works) offers apprenticeships & on-the-job training that allow employees without prior experience or certification to learn actual job skills at no cost to the employer. The employee will earn a paycheck from Oklahoma Works for the duration of the apprenticeship or OJT. Businesses that have participated in this program have stated that employees recruited through it are higher quality and easier to retain.

Oklahoma Works also has options available to assist your business in training current employees, providing them with more tools to succeed and incentivizing them to step up in your company.

Chickasha Public Library – UniversalClass

The Chickasha Public Library provides free access to UniversalClass, an online education platform with accredited courses in dozens of fields of study, including customer service and career and technical skills. Any employer or employee that lives or works in Grady County is eligible to apply for a CPL library card and receive access to this hub.
