At the crossroads of Interstate 44 and two major U.S. Highways, Chickasha serves as a retail hub for the surrounding rural area—miles beyond its city limits. The estimated population of our trade area is approximately 89,000.
Nearly 19,000 cars come through our key retail area on US-81 every day, and I-44 brings some 21,000 cars per day through the city.
Year-round activities at the Grady County Fairgrounds and the Chickasha Sports Complex bring upwards of 400,000 people to Chickasha annually. Visitors from all over the country come for events ranging from national livestock shows to collegiate sports regionals.
In 2023, the Festival of Light — a six-week event held every holiday season — drew another 145,000 from 46 states (plus D.C.).
Over 30 new businesses have opened in Chickasha in the past two years, including multiple major national brands. Several new housing developments are underway. Sales have grown 28% in the past five years.
