Chickasha shines bright at tourism awards ceremony

Chickasha, Okla. – Visit Chickasha, the tourism initiative for the Chickasha Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council recently won four awards at the Oklahoma Industry Association – Redbud Awards.  

Chickasha brought home several awards including the Merit Award for Best Website in visitchickasha.com, best Marketing Campaign – Small Budget for ChristmasTown and Merit Award for Best Partnership for Rock Island weekend. Additionally, Redbud award for Best Marketing Publication – Small Budget was presented to Oh18. The highlight of the evening was Visit Chickasha winning the Oklahoma Tourism Organization of the Year – Small Budget.

“Chickasha continues to exceed visitor expectations for a town of it’s size,” said Jim Cowen, president of the Chickasha Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council. “This award is a testament to all the great things happening around the community and exposure Chickasha is receiving.”

“With icons like the leg lamp and events such as Festival of Light, Rock Island Arts Festival Okla. Food Truck Championship, and Christmas in July, it is obvious Chickasha is becoming a top small-town destination,” says Matt Stockman, tourism & festival of light director for Visit Chickasha. “Let’s keep this momentum going, great things are ahead.”
