EDC Board approves Small Business Start-Up grant for nutrition shop

On Tuesday, March 12th, the board of the Chickasha Economic Development Council approved a Small Business Start-Up Program application for Firehouse Energy & Nutrition.

The applicant, which will open at the former location of Chickasha Nutrition, estimates that they will contribute $100,000 a year in retail sales.

As a part of the program, the applicant will have their first three months rent or utilities paid for by the EDC, up to $5,000, as well as six months’ membership to the Chickasha Chamber of Commerce. The payments will be reimbursed by the Chickasha Industrial Authority.
